Meet The clinic Founder
lindy Griffiths
Lindy Griffiths is the founder of Chichester Physio. Originally from Shropshire, she moved to Bath to complete her physiotherapy training. Lindy trained at Bath School of Physiotherapy, which was then part of the hospital. The training was hands-on, with half of each day spent treating patients in the hospital and the other half focused on studying anatomy, physiology, and pathology in the physiotherapy school. This intense training gave her a deep understanding of the human body and various ways to help people. After qualifying, Lindy moved to Chichester a year later. Initially planning to stay just for the summer to try sailing, she soon fell in love with the area and decided to make it her home. She began her career at Saint Richard’s Hospital, before moving to outpatient roles at Arundel Hospital and Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital. After a year of working in Australia at a large teaching hospital in Sydney, Lindy returned to Arundel Hospital. Her experience in Australia made her realise the need for more time with patients, which led her to pursue private practice. Thirty years ago, she established Chichester Physio, which has since grown into a thriving business in the local area.
Chichester Physio initially started in the center of Chichester, but due to parking difficulties, moved to the Bosham Clinic. As the business expanded, we moved to the current location in Bosham 12 years ago. In addition to this, we have a room at Goodwood Health Club, where Lindy has been the main physiotherapist for 20 years. Chichester Physio also uses a room at Southdown Chiropractic in Petworth and another at the doctor’s surgery in the Witterings, ensuring physiotherapy services are available throughout the Chichester area. Over the years, the clinic has continued to evolve and expand to meet the needs of the local community, ensuring that high-quality care is accessible to all.
The Bosham clinic is well-equipped, with a Pilates studio, an IDD machine, sports therapists, sports masseurs, a podiatrist, and a foot care specialist. Chichester Physio is a busy clinic, and Lindy is extremely proud of its success. Her passion for physiotherapy remains strong and unwavering, as she feels privileged that the clinic has the time to build relationships with patients. Unlike many healthcare professionals who have limited time with their patients, our approach at Chichester Physio allows people to truly get to know patients, enabling us to help individuals return to living the life they love. This holistic approach ensures that patients receive personalised treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, empowering them to recover and achieve their wellness goals.
